The highest-ranking hand in a game of poker wins the pot. This betting process is done in clockwise order until all players have either folded or called.

The best hand to make at a given moment is called a “nuts” hand, and it is achieved by hitting two out of three cards on the board: an eight-to-nine pair, a trip seven, and a river seven. This is the best hand, but it is also the least profitable. However, it’s important to note that a backdoor flush is possible. This is possible if a player has a large statistical lead and hits the required cards on the turn and river.

In the U.S., the highest hand is called a “high pair.” In other countries, the highest hand wins, regardless of what other players have. In poker, the highest pair wins the game, but the second best hand wins if it is a two-card set. The highest card in a game of poker will break a tie. However, a pair of aces, better than one pair, or a straight, can also win.
