What Is a Casino?

A casino, also called a gambling house or a gaming house, is an establishment where people can gamble on various games of chance. Many casinos invest a significant amount of time and money in their security systems to deter criminals and keep their patrons safe. Elaborate surveillance systems give security workers a high-tech “eye-in-the-sky” that lets them monitor every table, change window and doorway from a separate room filled with banks of security cameras. The cameras can be adjusted to focus on suspicious patrons by casino security workers.
